My family (wife, 2 daughters 12 and 15 and my parents ) and I visited Dimaha Villa just off Mirissa Beach and 30 minutes from Galle from May 20th to May 27th 2017.

Dimaha Villa is beautifully restored with all the amenities we needed for a week of relaxing. The rooms and kitchen are clean and spacious and the outside areas perfect for just hanging out. The outside showers for two bedrooms is a nice touch. The bedrroms are cool and very comfortable. When we wanted something else than the beautiful pool in the villa Mirissa beach with all its restaurants and other activities was only a 10minute walk away.

The kitchen is well equipped giving you the chance to prepare your own curry using the fresh seafood and vegetables that can be bought on the main road just off Mirissa beach. Much to my daughter delight the WIFI worked perfectly 😊

Amila ( the housekeeper and cook ) made our breakfast daily and was very helpful during our stay. If local transportation was needed Jayranga and his tuk tuk was always available and assisted us when going places.

All in all we had a great vacation in Sri Lanka and Dimaha Villa and hope to be back again soon.

Tips:

• Take cooking class at Mama’s in Galle or with Amila in the house
• Visit other beaches than Mirissa Beach (soooo many to choose from ) and don’t miss Galle fort.
• Buy morning bread from the baker who drivers around the neighborhood in his little and loud bread van tuk tuk vehicle, first time we ran out thinking it was ice cream!

My family and I had a wonderful holiday at Dimaha Villa.  We were two adults and two children, 5 and 7 and stayed for 6 wonderful days, 15-21 April 2017.  The villa is a great size and fully equipped with everything you need.  Good sized bedrooms and fantastic showers!

Amila, the housekeeper, is fantastic and attentive.  A wonderful cook, he cooked for us most evenings, prepared breakfast and he can answer any questions you have.  The pool is a perfect size for swimming in and cooling down which the girls loved.

Jaranga took us around the area and showed us Galle and a wonderful turtle farm which the children loved.  Our eldest daughter loved the local surf beaches and enjoyed a lesson.  We went whale watching which was fantastic seeing the blue whales.  We would love to return to the villa!  A perfect end to a perfect holiday travelling around southern Sri Lanka.
